Starting at 8 a.m. on Wednesday, all business vehicles are prohibited from Pennsylvania’s I-380 and I-84.
Furthermore, starting at midnight Tuesday, the following vehicles will be prohibited on Pennsylvania roadways that are certain:
Empty straight trucks
Large mix vehicles (tandem trailers along with dual trailers)
Tractors hauling empty trailers
Trailers pulled by passenger vehicles
Motorcycles Recreational vehicles, or RVs
The travel bans will stay in place as long as is necessary for the weather circumstances. Vehicle bans and rate limitations could be set in place tomorrow as the winter storm grows.
Interstate 78 at the intersection with Interstate 81 in Lebanon County to the New Jersey line.
I-80 in the intersection with Interstate 81 to the New Jersey line.
I-84 from the junction with Interstate 81 to the New York State line.
I-380 at the junction with Interstate 80 at the intersection with Interstate 81.
The Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission has issued a ban on the types of vehicles listed above on the extension between Clarks Summit and the Lehigh Tunnel.
